About The Firm Founded at the end of 1988, The Firm is the longest established SM party promotion organisation in Britain. The Firms private parties were legend long before it ran its first commercial venture, taking over the Boat Party in 1994. The Firm's parties are described as SM, rather then the cuddlier word ‘fetish' (though their events have a strict dress code) and are much more about play than dancing. Generally there is a policy of no loud music ‘So you can hear your victim scream'. Events include Night of the Cane each November (the biggest CP party in the country), which features the annual Caning Competition, The Boat Party in early July (Central London to the Thames Barrier and back), and Burns Night in January, complete with haggis, bagpipes and the tawse. The Firms latest project is the development of a new School Scene scenario, the London Corporal Punishment School. Other events have included Medieval Fate, Dark Circus, Punishment Dome, Carry On Spanking, and Marat Sade. President Ishmael Skyes says "We want to run events where people can live the fantasy, be that C14 London, Revolutionary France or a Blakes 7 penal planet. We're not into slinging up some pretty dungeon equipment and cranking up the music." Worst thing about The Firm; don't expect the latest dance tunes.
