Hi Kim, I went to Club Rub for the 1st time on June 24th my birthday. I wasn't sure what to expect. You here lots of stories so i was a bit nervous. I went with a girlfriend who had never been before either. From the moment we walked in we was made to feel very welcome. I was dressed all in black i wasn't sure what too wear being my 1st time & was told very politly i had to remove my trousers. I was a bit nervous but removed them, then went to the bar got a drink within minutes my nervousness had gone thanks to the great atmosphere & friendliness of everybody. We went down stairs to find to friends we'd arranged to meet who go to Club Rub regulaly. We found them on the dance floor, they showed us around introduced us to a few people & told us how things work. As you can imagine being 1st timers we had alot of questions, i work in the music buisness myself I'm tour manager to a well known house DJ so im in clubs worldwide most weekends so i was very sceptical but i have to say i had one of the best nights out ive had in years everyone was so friendly the atmosphere was fantastic very relaxed not seedy or dirty like people who havent been might think. Ive been working in the club scene for nearly 20yrs & been all over the world so im very critical but i had such a great birthday (39yrs young) i had to email you & congratulate you on what an amazing club you have built up great people great atmosphere nice staff good music (dodgy sound system - the dj had trouble) but please dont take that the wrong way i had such a fantastic night i cant say how impressed i was.
