1,000 goths, but Cerys is the only person with a slave on a lead!

Fancying something different, I took the slave to check out Perversion at Electrowerkz on Saturday. It was billed as a New York club having a night out in London, and I’ve always had to desire to check out the NY fetish scene. And the grim industrialism of Electrowerkz makes for a great fetish venue, all space age mining and rattling of chains somehow.

When we arrived, though, there was a queue worthy of a TG rubber ball party. And inside, yes the atmosphere was definitely different – in fact it was extremely Goth. About 1,000 Goths gathered in one place, to be precise. Most had clearly spent hours on their appearance.

There were some spectacular outfits, several brides of Frankenstein – and lots of spiky black boots. Even a stall selling them, in case you’d forgotten yours. Although I think my favourite accessory was the 6 foot live python, happily being introduced to the party-goers by his mistress.

It was fun, but it wasn’t exactly fetish (no-one else brandishing a lead, for starters). The dungeon had some great dancing in… but sadly no play, apart from a little bit of idle foot-worship.

The girls in the cages were dancing in a manner suggesting they were strippers in another life; certainly I don’t think they’d been locked there for punishment. And there was some impressive pole-dancing.

Overall, it was a lot of fun if you were a goth (and many perves I know harbour nostalgic longings for a Goth princess) but the name Perversion is slightly misleading. If you’re looking for play, it’s not the place. It was a good party, and crowded as good parties should be.

But since my desire to get the flogger out was just too strong, we sloped off to the Furnace.
