WHAT IS A QUEER FEMME, I hear you ask?

Well, queer can represent anyone who identifies as anything under the ‘queer’ umbrella (intersex, lesbian, transgender, gender neutral, gender fluid, non-binary, bisexual, asexual, gay, pansexual, demisexual and a whole host of others) or, to put it simply: anyone who isn’t ENTIRELY on the straight and narrow. ‘Queer’ can range from a personal identity to a political one.

Femme is an identity that is distinct and separate from binary labels of ‘male’ and ‘female’. It isn’t necessarily connected to gender identity or gender presentation, though many femmes do express themselves through presenting in ‘traditionally’ feminine ways or adopting ‘traditionally’ feminine qualities or behaviours. That being said, femme identity can be entirely internal, possibly having no outward showings. Femme covers a huge range of expression, physicality and feeling. Femme basically covers anything and everything on the feminine side of neutral – and that’s a big range!

If you’re still a little fuzzy on what ‘queer femme’ can mean, have a cheeky look at this fantastic comic:

TICKET:

This is a vetted event with only 100 tickets available (20 early bird, 80 standard), so if you are interested in attending please email femphasis.london@gmail.com with 'Femphasis July' as the subject line, with a little about you (how you identify, what your kink experience is, why you would like to come, and who you will be bringing with you).

We’re asking for a little about you (and your guests, if you have them), so that we can make the club a safe and welcoming environment for everyone! For example, we will give people who are new to kink or kink events special wrist bands so that the Dungeon Monitors can make sure to keep an eye on them, can really look after them and can keep them safe (so don’t be afraid to let us know you’re new in messages or on the door).

CLUB RULES:

-Consent is key, and what’s more, we believe in enthusiastic consent! So remember: NO means no, and only YES means yes.

-The club safe word is RED. However, safe words should be a last resort, and players should be constantly communicating to make sure everyone is enjoying themselves.

-We expect all attendees to adhere to safe, sane, consensual (and risk aware) kink. Dungeon Monitors - who will have arm bands to identify them - reserve the right to interrupt any play or scene that, in their opinion, is not within the boundaries of ‘safe, sane, consensual’.

-Photographs: There will be a house photographer, who will ask for specific permission before taking pictures (and anyone in the background will be offered the opportunity to leave the shot or will have their faces blurred out). Attendees are asked not to take photos, in order to respect the privacy of other guests.

-No blood play.

-There is a wet room that can be used for watersports, however, we ask that attendees keep cleanliness and hygiene in mind and are considerate of other event goers (shower down afterwards, yeah?). You are responsible for bringing your own towels.

-Sexual contact is allowed, as long as it is done safely and consensually (there will be condoms and gloves provided, but please bring ones that fit you correctly).

-Clean up after you play! There will be roaming sanitation stations, and we expect you to disinfect furniture after you have used it.

-Keep track of your toys (and keep them clean between uses). We’re not responsible for lost kit, or loss of personal belongings.

-There is no enforced dress code. Fetish wear is highly encouraged, although not required (although there we ask for no blue jeans and no trainers – make an effort please). Wear what makes you feel sexy and confident! If you feel best in the buff, then go for it, as nudity is allowed.

-We believe in safety and personal responsibility. Of course, Dungeon Monitors are there to keep us all safe, but if you see anything you think is unsafe or are unsure about please tell a DM.

DISCLAIMERS:

Please note that although this is not an exclusive event, it is a focused event, and we are making a safe space for queer, femme identifying/presenting individuals from all walks of life. As such any sexist, racist, ageist, homophobic, biphobic, transphobic, ableist, sizephobic, body shaming, kink shaming, or otherwise intolerant or bigoted behaviour will not be tolerated. Any individual displaying these behaviour will be asked to leave and will be banned from future events.

Dungeon Monitors reserve the right to remove any individual they believe is endangering themselves or others, or intentionally intimidating others.
