Welcome to our next social evening for everyone interested in finding out more about our forthcoming events. (Please see the fetlife "Serendipity" group for more info and discussions).
We've taken on board all the comments resulting from our first venture ("Anything But Grey!" at The Bloomsbury Ballroom on 13/14 Feb) and the overwhelming message is "more please".
THIS NEXT BIT IS IMPORTANT...
After the fuss following ABG, we're looking for a show of support - let's pack the place out on a Monday night and get those positive vibes a-flowing, along with the drinks! Our January social had about 120 people there and we need this one to be a vote of confidence and do better than that. Accordingly, if the combined total of "going" and "maybes" is not greater than about 120 by Monday 13th April (i.e. two weeks before the event) then we will cancel. And that will be that - the people will have voted and there will be no more Serendipity. This is called democracy! There's no point in us listening to a very vocal demanding minority if there just aren't enough people interested in making this happen. Larger scale events need lots of people - it's as simple as that.
NOW BACK TO THE SPIEL...
There's a good range of drinks and food available, with a Scandinavian theme of course. It's a completely vanilla venue, so please bear this in mind!
We're now a fairly regular event and hope to continue to build interest in the larger parties/events we're planning for the future.
We're also launching a darker, more intimate, smaller event under the guise of "Club Serendipity" and we'll have more details of this on the night.
In future we plan to do perhaps a couple of large scale events (The Ballroom are really keen to have us back) mixed up with some smaller more private affairs in between times.
The Nordic Bar entrance is off Newman Street, adjacent to Newman Passage, and down the outside stairs to the basement.
