Description: |
It’s the quintessential shibari form and the one pre-requisite for most shibari classes & workshops. Learn the basic principles and pattern of the two rope Takate Kote (or ‘TK’) with Fred & Anna in this 3 hour evening class! You’ll also learn about rope tension, rope flow, anatomy, safety & communication.
This is a good opportunity for those who have already learned it but want to brush up and get some supervised practice.
No rope needed. No experience needed.
Who can come to this class?
This class is open to all levels and complete beginners. No rope needed. No experience needed. No partner required. We have ‘Two Together’ and ‘Individual’ tickets available so you can come on your own or with a partner. If you come on your own you will be able to pair up with someone else on an individual ticket during the class and you will be switching throughout the class (tying and being tied).
What should I bring and what do I wear?
We have ropes you can use during the class and we have a communal kitchenette, fridge and microwave. Tea and coffee are free but you should bring your food and snacks (we have plates and cutlery you can use). People usually wear comfortable clothing like yoga or dance attire. We advise against loose fitting clothing and also jeans can sometimes feel a bit restrictive to move around in and difficult to tie on.
What is the class like?
We know it can be intimidating to step into a rope bondage class so the classes we host have been created to make you feel welcome, accepted and comfortable. Anatomie Studio is an inclusive female-friendly, kink-friendly, LGBTQ+ friendly space welcome of people of all colours, genders, orientations and background. Our events are friendly, welcoming and educational. For more information about our philosophy and values, see here, and for resources about getting tied, tying and rope in general, see here.
Who teaches this class?
The class is taught by studio owners Fred Hatt and Anna Bones. They have been doing rope together since 2013 and are regularly invited to teach and perform inside and outside the UK. For more information, visit their personal website [here][www.bonesandrope.com].
How much does this cost?
