WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
Floggers are the most versatile of impact play equipment, however they are also the most difficult to use as a beginner. This workshop will provide practical demonstrations of a variety of techniques, with the opportunity to try them out under Vicky's guidance. The techniques will start off with very basic techniques aimed at complete beginners. They will then proceed to advanced techniques for those with some experience, including pair work and florentining, again with the opportunity to try the techniques under Vicky's guidance and tuition. Bring your own floggers, or borrow some from Vicky of Bondatrix.com on the day.
There will be a discussion of safety factors and a practical demonstration of where to hit safely on the body. There will also be a discussion of flogger tail materials and the difference they make, and practical tips on how to chose the right flogger for you and identify well constructed, properly balanced floggers and why this makes a difference during a scene. This workshop will aim to teach you a wide variety of techniques you can use during your next scene to make the most of floggers and feel confident with them, whether you are a complete beginner with your first flogger, or have some experience and want to learn more advanced techniques and pair work.
