Learn the basic principles and various ways to build a stemless Takate Kote (or ‘TK’) with Fred and Anna in this 3 hour evening class.
In this class will cover:
• Stem or stemless? Why, when, how and what for?
• Basic principles and structure of stemless TKs
• Various possible patterns for building a stemless TK
• The current (and very varied!) ideas behind the mechanics of 'shoulder locking' and achieving stable 'high hands' positions and what may work for you and your partner(s)
• Various methods to attach mainlines to stemless TKs (in contrast to stem based TKs)
This class is suitable for beginners and all levels, but those with prior knowledge of the TK and especially those who have attended our TK classes before will get the most out of it.
Both this class, and The Takate Kote provide the necessary pre-requisites for booking into the follow-up course: Levelling Up (Course 2).
