Before we can drop our habitual defenses and let ourselves be intimate, we must feel safe, knowing that we’re met with love, respect and care. This is often less simple than it sounds: but once you can trust, you experience an emotional de-armouring – a dropping away of hard outer layers to reveal more of the human inside them – that allows intimacy with yourself or another.
In this workshop, SP founder London Faerie and his beloved partner Marti forego the kink (mostly!) and take it right back to the basics, sharing the tools and knowledge that allow you to create safe and intimate connections with those who matter to you.
As you learn to work with and adapt these fundamental elements and discover how they work together to create safety, intimacy becomes much easier to access. It’s still risky – that’s the nature of opening to ourselves and to others – but it starts to seem less complicated.
