Here's why I liked it:

Performers:

Alex Jacob did an absolutely spectacular demonstration with his bullwhips, helped by his georgeous female assistant, who, apart from occasionally jumping up and down and rubbing her bottom, allowed herself to be subjected to a fantastic lively whipping session, which left georgeous looking welts on her beautiful body.

He did the same with a subsequent volunteer from the audience who also, with apparant enjoyment, took a wonderful whipping. In a later demonstration of waxing, the same girl showed us her fabulous body, which had some beautiful welts on her bottom.

Alex's technique with the bullwhip gets better every time I see it. This was an excellent, theatrical and highly entertaining display of his skill.

Amateur and semi amateur performances:

The special room which was set aside for bondage and impact play provided the best entertainment of the day.

Spanking and caning: We had a fantastic display of caning techniques, with two volunteer girls getting their georgeous bottoms thwacked and striped. Both were unpaid volunteers, which made the whole display even more enjoyable, knowing that both girls liked it.

The public, as is common at these events, provided some excellent entertainment as well. A couple set up their own scene with a cane and paddle which lasted almost the whole afternoon. The sub had the most beautiful bottom, which by the end was a beautiful shade of red.

We also had a young lady bent over a horse being hand spanked for a long time, as she no doubt deserved. The sound of the whacks, followed by her cries of 'ouch', and the sight of her bottom glowing red were unforgettable.

Bondage: We were treated to a whole display of bondage techniques, from cling film to the very best Japanese rope bondage I have ever seen.

Shopping: Kinkfest provided a good opportunity for shopping. The stallholders I encountered were generally very friendly, many seemed to be genuine enthusiasts, and most of the merchandise was good quality and prices were reasonable.

General organisation: Overall, the event was well organised, with unobtrusive security and a friendly atmosphere.

My one complaint: The workshops. (The subject of a separate post.)
