I was woken by a bloody customer, wanting a bloody delivery, to Hungerford
at 0430.  So I duly started work before you party people had gone to bed,
then started my real work day at 0800 - finishing around 7pm.  Not an
auspicious start when you are planning parting on the Friday night.

And that is the point.  If you have to work can you summon the energy to
party when you have been working all day?  Only time would tell.  I finally
finished work - came home - did my prep for the dinner party I was hosting
on the Saturday (now that's another story - see my next posting) and then
prepared for my first night out in London for 7 months.  That's right, 7
whole months so Smack had better be bloody worth it.

Sharon arrived to chauffeur me there.  It was only then I realised one of the
perils of living in more than one place and realised I had f*** all to
wear.  The theme was uniforms so with my sparkly knickers, thigh high
boots, a diamante crop and a formal jacket I managed a passing resemblance
to a ringleader.  It would have to do.  We scurried off - well Shazza did -
I imitated a sloth and snoozed all the way.

Fortuitously the parking was a cinch. We arrived at 11pm and parked street
side no problem at all.  Mistress Mandy and michael were arriving at the
same time so we arrived en masse.

Great venue.  Miranda and Mr AP greeted us - god, M is so bloody gorgeous -
and apparently they had had a bit of a mare organising this month's event
but you couldn't tell - like the proverbial swan the club was totally calm
regardless of their furious paddling underneath. 

I seriously rate the venue - and as my experience with Subversion tells me
-  the venue is half the battle.  So they have done good.  Location, size,
ambience - spot on.  We easily dumped coats and found seats - in which I
gratefully slumped - after resting my arse on Slutty as part of his 'good
on you Doctor' celebrations.

Couldn't fault the people, the atmosphere, and the play kit.  I think it's
an essential London night out.  Great club run by great people.

One comment - if they want to make it even better they could improve the
DJ's - I cant remember the order to much but I think the best was DJ Spikey
(? - forgive me if I haven't remembered right) but to improve it more, get
some more equally good DJs in for the rest of the sets.

I was shattered so I didn't do justice to the equipment or the dance floor.
I loved the boys playing warriors - mmmmm - but can we add a bit of rape
and pillage please - to move it up from battle re-enactment to fetish - it
would then be perfect.

My advice is GO....NOW. I will try my utmost to be at the next one - and not
to work too hard on the Friday.  You need energy to enjoy it at its best.
And the bonus bit is - you party Friday - and you still have the whole
weekend to pleasure yourself in any way you see fit.  It makes for a long
weekend every SMACK weekend.  Yeehah!
