World Wide Web

The World Wide Web or WWW is a major application running on the Internet, over the TCP/IP protocol. Client tools are typically web browsers, designed to view data which can be supplied from a vast number of sources.
The Wipipedia is one such source of information, providing thousands of 'pages' of information which is nevertheless a tiny fraction of all that is available.
